We’re going to need a bigger foodie gift guide. While we already brought you 10 ideas for the epicurean in your life, in honor of the recent opening Pearl River Mart Foods (and the fact that we live to eat), we’re bringing you eight more!

Specialty sauces

When we opened Pearl River Mart Foods, something we were particularly excited about was sharing awesome sauces and oils from our favorite restaurants and independent food purveyors from around the city. These mostly spicy condiments pack in tons of flavoring and lovely packaging, making them the perfect foodie present.

Asian cookbooks 

For the gourmet who’s already a whiz in the kitchen or just getting started, our Asian cookbooks span a wide variety of cuisines, including Chinese, Korean, Malaysian, Thai, and more. Newest to our collection are recipes from Xi’an Famous Foods, Nicole Ponseca and Miguel Trinidad of popular Filipino eatery Jeepney, and Nom Wah Tea Parlor, which celebrates its 100th anniversary with not just recipes but stories from businesses around Chinatown, including Pearl River’s!

Help them show their love for NYC Chinatown restaurants — AND help small businesses — with tote bags, T-shirts, tumblers, and more from the Chinatown Collection. Our latest drop includes items from dim sum mainstay Jing Fong; the longest family-run tofu shop in Chinatown, Fong On; and artisanal tea shop, Sun’s Organic Garden. Our first drop still has in-stock items from Hop Kee, 88 Lan Zhou, Kopitiam, and Xi’an Famous Foods. All profits go back to Chinatown with 10% going to a charitable neighborhood initiative.

Sassy cooking accessories

Do they cook with attitude? These hilarious oven mitts, aprons, and dish towels are for them. Must love swearing and wine.

Cook’s tools

Help them build up their Chinese cooking paraphernalia with woks, cleavers, and steamers, oh my!

Chopstick sets

Because you can’t have too many. These classic wooden chopsticks were recently selected as a New York Times “best of” for 2020, but there are lots of others to choose from!
