China Press: “My Home” Brings Together the Present and the Past
"Many Chinese immigrants seem to live in time capsules,” artist-in-residence Louis Chan told China Press during the opening reception of his exhibit, My Home. His photographs show both new and old immigrant family images, China Press noted. Chinese star calendars, black and white family photos, and mooncake boxes juxtaposed with modern objects like stuffed animals and laptops — a coming together of worlds, present and past.
