Bessou Rayu Chili Oil


A house-made rayu chili oil from Bessou, a woman-owned Japanese homestyle cooking restaurant in NoHo, NYC. This chili oil is infused with fresh and ground chilis as well as ground sansho peppercorns, a Japanese cousin of the Sichuan peppercorn.

Bessou's oil offers a complex heat that is full of flavor. With a medium heat level, it is ready to use on a variety of dishes including mapo tofu, chili oil noodles, dumpling sauce, or simply over rice or eggs.
