Designed by Pearl River artist-in-residence Nancy Pappas, this adorable tote bag feature's the illustrator's whimsical design of the beloved bai cai.
The humble cabbage is important in both Korean and Chinese cultures. It's one of the primary ingredients in the quintessential Korean side dish, kimchi. In Chinese culture, it symbolizes wealth since its name, bai cai, sounds like "100 wealth." It's also celebrated for its versatility, giving rise to phrase, "Bai cai is better than 100 vegetables."
