Hua mui is a traditional Chinese candy while li hing drops use a sweet and salty dried plum pit to enhance the sugary golden coating around it. Similar to the attraction to tajin (minus the spice), the tart plum notes make it hard for us to keep our hands from reaching for our next drop.
