Let’s Go to the Movies: The 43rd Asian American International Film Festival
The Asian American International Film Festival (AAIFF) is going virtual this year!
Organized by Asian CineVision, the festival is known as "The First Home to Asian American Cinema" and is the first and longest-running festival dedicated to showcasing the moving image work by media artists of Asian descent for and about the Asian diaspora experience.
Running Oct. 1 through 11, the AAIFF is 100% online this year and includes their first ever virtual Pop-Up Market, of which we’re proud to be the presenting sponsor! Check out their full line-up, including 17 feature films, 14 short film blocks, and over 16 workshops, masterclasses, and special events.
You can also see our personal picks for must-sees, like Curtain Up!, a documentary about elementary students from Manhattan Chinatown’s own PS 124 putting on a musical; Dancing On My Own, a love letter to the queer Asian experience and inspired by dear friends BUBBLE_T; and Definition Please, a feature film about a former Scripps Spelling Bee champion who returns home to care for her ailing mother and deal with her estranged brother.
