Opening Reception: WE ARE CHINATOWN: A Portrait of Our Community Rising Through Labor and Love

From renowned artist Amanda Phingbodhipakkiya comes this poignant, multimedia exhibition celebrating Manhattan's Chinatown and the individuals who make up its fabric.

Gordon & Li Li Book Signing and Activity

Meet author Michele Wong McSween and get signed copies of her Mandarin language learning picture books, including a new edition of Gordon & Li Li: Celebrate Chinese New Year and brand new books, Gordon & Li Li: Celebrate Chinese New Year Coloring & Activity Book and Gordon & Li Li: All About Me.

Lunar New Year Day Lion Dancing

Help us ring in Lunar New Year Day with cozy drinks and lion dancing. Starting at 4:30 enjoy exquisite tea from Senbird. Then prepared to be wowed by a showstopping performance from the Wan Chi Ming Hung Gar lion and dragon dance team starting at 5 PM.

Lunar New Year Annual Extravaganza

Join us for our annual Lunar New Year extravaganza in Chelsea Market! It will be an afternoon full of festivities:

11:30 AM to 12 PM: Ribbon dancing on the main concourse in front of Pearl River Mart

12 to 12:30 PM: Lion dancing which will begin on the main concourse in front of Pearl River Mart and continue downstairs to Pearl River Mart Foods

1 to 5 PM: Food and drink will be available for purchase from Pearl River Mart Foods vendors Mao's Bao, Kimbap Lab, Tea & Milk, and Maxi's Noodle, and event partner Dickson's. Activities include mahjong lessons, coloring with Michele Wong McSween (author of the Mandarin language Gordon & Li Li books), Chinese calligraphy, and more!

• How much: Attendance is free but registration is appreciated. Food and drink and reserved mahjong tables are available for purchase.
• When: Sunday, Feb. 9, from 11:30 AM to 5 PM
