Three women wearing halter tops in various colors

Tradition, But Make It Fashion

Summer has arrived early at Pearl River Mart.

You might know our brocade halter tops have long been our most popular summer item. But did you know they originally came from qipaos?

We don't mean just the style. Yes, the mandarin collar, keyhole neckline, and pankou button are inspired by this traditional Chinese dress. But they're also cut from the same cloth — literally.

When qipaos are made, there's always leftover fabric. Rather than getting thrown out, the pieces are refashioned into these flirty tops.

This colorful new collection comes in a variety of designs, each with a special meaning. The dragon and phoenix, a revered mythical pair in Chinese culture, embody harmony and balance. Another emblem of peace and harmony is the peacock, proudly adorned in red and gold.

The sakura or Japanese cherry blossom symbolizes rebirth and renewal. The peony represents honor and riches while longevity medallions stand for long life. Finally, we're simply fanning out over this adorable folding fan design.

You can find the full collection in our Soho flagship and a selection on our website.
