The Villager: Chinatown Art Exhibit Builds Bridges
Building bridges to connect us with our surrounding community is important to us. And that’s just what the “Resilience / Resistance” exhibition does. A multimedia art display from the Chinatown Art Brigade (CAB), “Resilience / Resistance” includes photos from local tenant leaders, a documentary about Chinatown garment workers, and a “therapy wall.”
“The idea is to work not only with residents and tenants,” CAB cofounder Betty Yu explained to The Villager, “but also small businesses and landmark businesses in Chinatown that really have a stake in the gentrifying community.”
The exhibit runs through Jan. 22.
