Qi ling are mythical Chinese creatures believed to be the guardians of heaven. In homes they're thought to attract happiness and good fortune.

Like guardian dogs or lions, qi lings always come in pairs. The male is identified by the world beneath its foot while under the female's paw is a lion cub.
