Joss paper, also known as ghost or spirit money, is used in ancestor worship in various Asian cultures. It's burned as an offering to those who have passed, and represents money or other material goods to be used in the afterlife.
Typical used at funerals, anniversaries of deaths, and holidays such as the Qingming and Hungry Ghost Festivals. Not recommended for usage during Lunar New Year, the Mid-Autumn Festival, or any holiday not associated with death.
